We at Naturaleza Castile create our very own formulations with the mildest and safest alternatives derived from natural raw materials depending on the various range of products. This is because, almost all major commercial products which one might use are laced with chemicals, chief among them being paraben, which often gets washed down the sewage into our waterbodies and soil and end up in our digestive tracts via the food chain. These chemicals and microplastics are rapidly detoriating our health from both inside and outside. We are trying to break this chain by replacing conventional chemical raw materials with organic & natural ingredients in our formulations. This not only offers you the best selfcare regime but also is less harmful to Mother Nature. And we do this by making all our products Paraben-free, and that sets us apart.

Why Paraben-Free?

Parabens are a group of chemicals widely used as artificial preservatives in cosmetic and body care products. Since cosmetics contain ingredients that can biodegrade, these chemicals are added to prevent and reduce the growth of harmful bacteria and mold, increasing the shelf life of the product. Its usage was stated controversial only when scientists around the world started discovering the adverse effects of such preservatives.

The concern with these chemicals is that Parabens can disrupt hormones in the body and harm fertility and reproductive organs, affect birth outcomes, and increase the risk of cancer. They can also cause skin irritation. Moreover, studies have detected parabens in nearly all urine samples taken from adults in the U.S., regardless of demographic. Given the endocrine disruption capacity and documented female and male reproductive harm, coupled with the potential for repeated lifelong exposure, it is clear that long-chain parabens (isobutyl-, butyl-, isopropyl- and propylparaben) should not be used in personal care or cosmetic products. Furthermore, products can be made without these chemicals.
